To better ascertain/confirm
data robustness of genes predicted to be regulated by MASv5.0 algorithm,
additional statistical analysis can be performed.
A software
suite developed inside the Institute by Dr.G.Finocchiaro and
Dr.H.Muller, by taking advantage of the replicate design (a different
approach should be used for experiments performed in singlet) performs
T-test and ANOVA analysis, looking for genes regulated in the same
direction between the replicate.
By setting the appropriates cut-off values and using different analysis
schemes, lists of genes regulated accordingly to MASv5.0 algorithm
and passing a T-test with different stringency cut-off values can
be obtained.
These result lists, together with fully annotated and frequently
updated genes description tables, will grant you immediate attention
focus on interesting regulated genes. Note:
Due to the inherent design of the software, this analysis can be applied
exclusively to experiment performed at least in duplicate. |
