The Cogentech, which is a joint initiative of the IFOM (FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology) and the IEO (European Institute of Oncology) provides a wide range of services to help scientists optimize their research.
Since 2003 IFOM has officially become an Affymetrix Facility Provider and offers to the scientific comunity its pluriennal experience in the microarray field.

The technological platform developed by Affymetrix includes applications that investigate both at the RNA level, using expression analysis, and at the DNA level if using Resequencing and Genotyping.
Applications can be customized for specific conditions through development of custom arrays.

Our staff started working and gaining expertise on the Affymetrix platform in 1999. Today, we are equipped with two of the most up-to-date instrument systems in order to guarantee the best performances.
The Facility routinely performs complete microarray analysis for users. The service we offer includes target synthesis and labeling, quality controls, hybridization, image acquisition, data analysis and elaboration using both commercial and proprietary software.
