1. Register to our Portal and require access to the Affymetrix Microarray Unit (by flagging the corresponding box)
2. Clean up RNA using Qiagen RNeasy columns prior to cDNA synthesis(elution in DEPC H2O at 1ug/ul).
3. Check RNA quality on a
gel, and take a picture.
The amount of RNA to be used varies from
3µg/sample (single hyb) to 5µg/sample (duplicate hyb).
For double-amplification synthesis, lower
limit of starting material is aroung 50ng.
4. Use the online form to submit
a Microarray Request.
Request submission is mandatory for further processing of RNA samples.
5. Print a copy of your Microarray
Request e-mail and attach your sample's picture to it.
Add it to your sample shipment along with
a signed copy of the Access Conditions document, if required.(*)
6. GeneChips are not included
in processing costs.
