Information: general

The RealTime (RT) PCR Service uses the very sensitive, accurate and reproducible quantitative PCR technique to measure the levels of gene expression by a Relative Quantitation approach.

The typical application is in validation of data coming from Affymetrix experiments or in comparison of the RNA levels between two or more different systems.

The starting material is first-strand cDNAs, that the Service can process using two different chemistries: the SYBR® Green (for Internal user only) and the 5’ nuclease assay (TaqMan) chemistry.

The Service works in both 96 well plate format and in Micro Fluid Card format.

The user can submit a request to the Service by filling a query form, following to the general guideline written in the “Requirements” section and then in the specific page after logged in.

The users are kindly requested to contact the Staff to propose their projects before compiling the form.
